A fantastic feature is once again being developed for WhatsApp, the preferred app for texting and data sharing among thousands of users.
WaBetaInfo claims that the instant messaging service is developing a new function that will let users report messages to group administrators.
According to the app-tracking website, a future update of the app will include the new feature known as “admin review,” which is currently in development.
It is not yet time to make the reporting feature available to beta testers.
To help group administrators better moderate the groups, WhatsApp is developing new features for them. Users will now be able to report particular messages to the group administrator thanks to this new update.
“When a group member reports a message, it will be sent to the admin for review, and they will be able to choose to delete the message for everyone in the group if they believe it is inappropriate or violates the group’s rules,” said WaBetaInfo.
In the future, users can locate this new option in the group settings section. However, due to its location within the group settings screen, only group admins will be permitted to activate this feature.
Additionally, a new section of the app, found within the group’s information, will only allow admins to view the reported messages.
Members of the group will be able to decide what information should be shared and what should not with this feature. When the administrator is online, anyone who finds something offensive or inappropriate can report it so it can be deleted.
All members would have a secure environment thanks to this.
