Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski, stars of “John Wick,” have expressed their grief over the recent death of actor Lance Reddick.
“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the passing of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick,” they said in a joint statement to E! News. “He was an absolute professional and a pleasure to work with.”
“Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family, and friends,” they added. We dedicate this film to his cherished memory. We’ll miss him terribly.”
Reeves and Stahelski join many of Reddick’s friends and colleagues in paying tribute to the actor best known for his work on HBO’s “The Wire.” He also appeared in the short-lived Netflix series “Resident Evil,” as well as the films “Godzilla vs. Kong,” “White House Down,” “Won’t Back Down,” “Jonah Hex,” “The Domestics,” and “Monster Party.”
In “John Wick: Chapter 4,” Reddick played Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York, a safe haven for the criminal underworld. He was found dead in his L.A. home on Friday morning. He was 60 at the time. His wife, Stephanie Reddick, and their children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick survive him.
