The current dispute between veteran highlife musician Gyedu-Blay Ambolley and radio host Kofi Okyere Darko does not appear to be coming to an end as the latter has revealed new information about the former.
Gyedu-Blay Ambolley responded to criticism from KOD earlier this week after he accused the VGMA of destroying the highlife genre.
In an interview with Andy Dosty, Ambolley, who did not take KODs statement lightly, labeled him “young” and “shallow-minded.”
“I see Okyere Darko as a child. He is shallow-minded, the reason why he said those things,” a visibly peeved Ambolley retorted
“I am going on a European tour in May next year. My music, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley’s music, and in June, I will be back on tour.
KOD responded to the hiplife icon in a post on Facebook after learning of the vicious insults on his person.
KOD claimed that Mr. Ambolley was choosing violence in their present argument, but he would act honorably by ignoring him.
“Ambolley wants vawulence. Comparing records?? 😂😂😂 Maybe I won’t mind him,” he posted.
However, KOD disclosed that he had the right to chastise an “ungrateful grandfather” in response to comments made by a fan who requested he provides the 76-year-old some respect in recognition of his age and position.
“I’d still straighten up an ungrateful grandfather. I fed him before and promoted him for 30 years. If anything, he owes me money too,” KOD disclosed.
