Kelvyn boy and his management group have stated that they don’t believe in any awards programs, either domestically or globally.
The Afrobeats artist confirmed that he did not trust organizers as stated by a member of his team in response to a question from radio presenter Abeiku Sanatana about whether he would win the Most Popular Song award at the upcoming awards.
Former Unsung Artiste category champion Kelvynboy said that all of the other contestants were very talented, so losing to any of them would be devastating.
“I don’t know… and to be honest we don’t trust them, even the Grammy awards people have issues with it,” he stated
“If I don’t win it, I’ll be hurt but there are other equally popular songs on there and I deserve it too if I pick up the award. When I looked at the nomination, I saw other very good artiste there so it’s cool whichever way,” he said
The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which are run by Charterhouse, have nominated Kelvyn Boy for Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste and Most Popular Song of the Year.
