Nigeria would be hosting the Afro Nation festival for the first time, Nigerian musician Davido suggested in a recent interview on Hot 97.
He revealed this to Ebro when promoting his album “Timeless.”
His remark prompted a discussion about how Ghana and other African nations utilize their beachfront for tourism and leisure.
“Afro Nation is going to Lagos for the first time, so that’s gonna be fire,” Davido said.

Afro Nation Ghana is one of several affiliations, including Afro Nation Portugal, Afro Nation Mexico, Afro Nation Puerto Rico, and Afro Nation U.S.
An agreement for a 5-year partnership between the Ghanaian government and the Afro Nation organizers has been inked.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the first edition was postponed until December 2022, when it was held again.
While Afro Nation festival organizers haven’t made an official statement about the Nigeria edition’s date or location, several Ghanaians have already begun to voice concerns about how it would influence Afro Nation Ghana and the entire December in the GH effort.
Live Nation, Event Horizon, Smade Entertainment, and Memories of Tomorrow are the companies that put together Afronation.
