The family of late Black Stars player Christian Atsu has set Friday, March 17, 2023, as the deceased footballer’s funeral date.
On Friday, March 17, 2023, Atsu’s funeral will be held on the forecourt of the State House in Accra.
The late footballer’s funeral will take place on March 23, six days before the Black Stars’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Before his death, the 31-year-old made 65 appearances for the Black Stars after making his debut in a friendly match against Lesotho at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in 2012.

It has been two weeks since Atsu’s body was recovered from the rubble of the devastating earthquake that struck southeastern Turkey and Syria.
