During his performance at the Dubai Wireless Festival in 2023, musician Black Sherif paid tribute to the late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu.
He posted a video performing for an enthusiastic audience on his Instagram account.
Christian Atsu’s name was shown on a big screen behind him throughout his performance.
Black Sherif is not the only musician to have honored Christian Atsu through their work, though.
In February, gospel singer and hiplife artist Grace Ashley and Fameye both released new songs in honor of the Black Star player.
On February 6, 2023, a catastrophic earthquake that struck Turkey and some areas of Syria claimed the life of Christian Atsu at the age of 31.
Twelve days after the Turkey earthquake, the player’s club Hatayspor announced the Ghanaian star’s passing.
On March 4, relatives, friends, and sympathizers gathered in Accra for the one-week memorial service for Christian Atsu.
