On Saturday, May 6, some of Ghana’s top musicians were honored for their outstanding contributions to the music industry at the event.
The Artiste of the Year award, which was won by Black Sherif, was one of the most coveted awards of the night.
Piesie Esther, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, Kidi, and Joe Mettle were among the other top contenders for the prestigious award.
Black Sherif, who rose to prominence with his hit single “Second Sermon,” has quickly established himself as one of Ghana’s most in-demand musicians. The young musician’s distinct blend of hip-hop and Afro beats has earned him fans across the country and beyond.
Black Sherif thanked God, his parents, and his fans for their support after receiving the award. He also expressed gratitude to the VGMA organizers for recognizing his work and providing him with the opportunity to showcase his talent on such a large stage.
Black Sherif has received numerous awards in recent months, including the Artiste of the Year award and the Most Popular Song.
