Davido has verified rumors that he and Chef Chioma, his long-term lover, have wed.
The Nigerian Superstar, who had taken a significant vacation from the public eye and social media, returned in March with news of his most recent album.
The “Fall” singer announced he had a family now in an exclusive chat with content producer and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori.
“Just being away, you know I have had a lot to think about definitely. Time to rest, reflect on a lot of family time, and time to make music again,” he said
He continued, “You know, I remade the album. Before I went on a break I actually had an album ready. I had a tour ready. You know we did the album. I travelled. It was crazy. I’m married. A lot of different things but yeah, we are ready now to get back on the road.
Since postponing their wedding because of the Covid-19 outbreak, Davido and Chioma have been on and off. They last got back together last year, just before their son Ifeanyi passed away.
Last year, Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega, who is located in the UK, stated on social media that the head of Davido Music International had hinted at a forthcoming wedding.
Social media users have congratulated the pair and sent them well wishes for a happy marriage.
