Mesut Ozil began his career at Schalke before moving on to Werder Bremen, where he helped the team achieve the UEFA Cup final and win the DFB Pokal Cup in 2009.
He later joined Real Madrid, where he won the title and the Copa del Rey twice. However, with the rise of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil’s fortunes at the club declined, and he ultimately joined Arsenal in 2013.
