The Football Writers’ Association has named Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr men’s and women’s footballer of the year (FWA).
Haaland of Norway has 51 goals in his debut season for City.
35 of those have come in the Premier League, breaking the league’s record for most goals in a single season.
Kerr, of Australia, is the first player to win the Women’s Footballer of the Year award in consecutive years.
This season, she has 26 goals in 34 club appearances, including 10 in the Women’s Super League.
The 29-year-old received twice as many votes as Aston Villa’s Rachel Daly, who is the WSL’s top scorer with 20 goals.
Lauren James, Kerr’s Chelsea teammate, finished third.
